Abernethy Ardgour was the third Centre to join the Abernethy Trust. Situated on the shores of Loch Linnhe, the Centre has stunning views over the Loch to the mountains beyond. We offer residential and non-residential packages throughout the summer for schools and groups.
This Centre is also the base for the Abernethy School of Adventure Leadership which runs a one year Instructor Training Course, and a 6 week Ski Instructor Training course in St Luc, Switzerland, as well as part year courses for those taking a Year Out. Ardgour is also the home of Abernethy's Kids Cook School which offers fun and exciting courses.
The Centre is the focal point of a 3000 acre Highland estate which features hills for walking and a beautiful untouched 5 miles of coastline for you to explore. Local wildlife includes Red Deer, Wild Goats, Buzzards, Eagles and Otters, all of which are frequently seen by visitors to the centre. Within the Centre locality we have a range of activities which include an adventure course in amongst the trees, a crag for climbing and abseiling and a bay perfect for canoeing and kayaking.
The Centre is located on the west coast on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, 40 minutes (including a 5 minute ride on the Corran Ferry) from Fort William and 2½ - 3 hours from Glasgow and Edinburgh. Travelling here by road is easy and public transport links are excellent.
